Autumn teaching

Filmmaking is a collaborative process that uses the individual's skills to make a project that is more of the sum of its parts.

In this module, you’ll further explore the different areas and production roles that make up the filmmaking process. As a team, you will cretae a short film. Guidance will be provided through each production stage: development, pre-production, production and post-production.


You will also look at topics, including:

  • working as a crew
  • working with actors
  • blocking and camera movement
  • lighting and cinematography
  • art direction and visualisation
  • editing
  • sound design.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 300 hours of work. This breaks down into about 33 hours of contact time and about 267 hours of independent study. The 5X社区视频 may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
