Communication Design (P4067)

Spring teaching

This module introduces you to using design-based desktop publishing and digital media applications whilst also encouraging critical reflection on issues of form and representation through the production of various practical visual communication and design focused exercises.

You will learn some of the key fundamental methods and techniques involved in the production of design-based digital media:

  • research
  • development
  • image editing
  • composition and manipulation
  • information and communication
  • layout design and presentation.

You will work individually to realise set exercises in and out of class and produce a completed set of digital artefacts to a project brief.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 17 hours of contact time and about 133 hours of independent study. The 5X社区视频 may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
