Spring teaching

The module closely examines the main specialist business functions: marketing, human resources and accounting & finance.

The learning focuses around the main principles and core concepts of each the key business functions studied with interest in ongoing developments and current activities in various, contemporary business workplaces. For instance, the latest developments in digital and social medial marketing or diversity and inclusivity in the workplace when studying human resources. Emphasis is very much upon application of the key business concepts to actual practice through the use of business case studies both in the weekly learning and final assessment.

Your learning is achieved via a series of coherent lectures & seminars. The aim is to create a friendly, highly interactive and inclusive learning environment including a range of diverse learning activities. In addition to knowledge generation this approach will enable you to further develop transferable skills essential for success at both university and in the world of work: personal confidence, teamwork & collaboration, self-management and independent learning.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 33 hours of contact time and about 117 hours of independent study. The 5X社区视频 may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.

We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology.
