Sussex Modernism (Q3283)
30 credits, Level 6
Spring teaching
This is a critical-creative writing module, where you’ll experiment with, and analyse, different ways of writing about place.
Sussex is particularly rich in modernist histories. You will interpret, and take inspiration from, experimental literary texts and artistic works created in the region during the 20th and 21st century.
Creative and critical writing will draw on local history research, as well as methods from psychogeography. This will sharpen understandings of what is at stake in representing place today.
