On this module, you’ll critically explore the concept of rights beyond their legal definitions, examining their nature, use, and future from a range of critical perspectives. You’ll apply these perspectives to a variety of contemporary case studies.
Key features of the module include:
- interrogating the concept of rights as distinct from the law on rights
- exploring the future of rights through critical perspectives
- examining contemporary case studies to apply theoretical insights.

Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 22 hours of contact time and about 128 hours of independent study. The 5X社区视频 may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
