Spring teaching
On this module, you’ll explore key aspects of industrial property law, focusing on:
- the law of patents
- passing off
- unregistered and registered trade marks
You’ll gain an understanding of the principles of intellectual property law and its philosophical and economic justifications. The module also encourages in-depth analysis of specific issues, such as access to medicines.
While the focus is on UK law and policy, you’ll also examine relevant EU and international frameworks.

Contact hours and workload
