Applied Mathematics for Economists (L1058)

Spring teaching

On this module, you’ll deepen your understanding of the key mathematical techniques used in economic analysis by applying them to real-world scenarios. By the end, you’ll feel confident using these skills on your own. 

You’ll also learn to understand the economic principles covered in other modules, along with the mathematical foundations of the statistical and econometric methods you’ll come across later in your BSc course.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 33 hours of contact time and about 117 hours of independent study. The 5X社区视频 may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
