Community Media (P4025)
30 credits, Level 6
Autumn teaching
In this module, you will develop an understanding of questions and critiques of community and belonging. This will be done through, with and in opposition to media online and offline.
You will draw on research literature to critically reassess questions of content, process and form in relation to traditional audience and institutional communities.
The module blends practice and theory relating to community media’s potential to work alongside activists, charities, communities and NGOs to build, sustain, reflect and critique communities locally, regionally and beyond borders.
