Autumn teaching
This module will help you to understand and analyse public policy processes, with a focus on how those processes unfold in the Global South.
It covers the following areas:
- key theories and debates around policy processes
- how public institutions operate in the formulation and implementation of policies
- the influence that social actors and international institutions have
- how evidence feeds into policy.
The module explores how different theories and approaches can help understand the politics of policy making in different contexts and sectors.

Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 300 hours of work. This breaks down into about 44 hours of contact time and about 256 hours of independent study. The 5X社区视频 may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
