Understanding how and why some countries have been able to raise their living standards while others have lagged behind has been a central concern for the field of Development Studies. Significant sustainability challenges have emerged, as a result of the environmental impacts of rapid economic growth.
On this module, you'll explore new important concepts, ideas and debates that have are becoming important in development agendas. These are in relation to the sustainability challenges of production and business activities.
You'll discuss new challenges and opportunities imposed by sustainability imperatives for both nations pursuing welfare and businesses pursuing profitability in a globalised economy.

Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 18 hours of contact time and about 132 hours of independent study. The 5X社区视频 may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
