Spring teaching
On this module, you will focus on the advanced qualitative research methods in accounting, management, innovation studies, and policy at the PhD level.
It will cover:
- the variety of methodological positions and research practices associated with qualitative research strategies.
- an overview of intellectual traditions
- the associated epistemological stances underpinning qualitative research.
The key research approaches to data collection that are explored in module are:
- interviewing
- focus groups and participatory research methods
- ethnographic methods
- narrative and life history research
- case studies
- visual methods.
You will also discuss research ethics, reflexivity, and positionality.

Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 33 hours of contact time and about 117 hours of independent study. The 5X社区视频 may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
