Spring teaching

On this module, you will address the role that psychological research can play in understanding and supporting children’s mental health.

You will look closely at broad theoretical perspectives concerning aetiology, maintenance, and treatment of mental health issues. You will also look at current issues and controversies in child mental health and will have the opportunity to reflect and discuss these with other students.

Throughout the module, you will consider the implications of psychological research for designing and implementing practical strategies to support children’s mental health.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 22 hours of contact time and about 128 hours of independent study. The 5X社区视频 may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
