Spring teaching

This module addresses the role that psychological research can play in understanding and supporting educational processes.

You will be introduced to material on theoretical perspectives concerning children’s learning as well as specific challenges to learning and aspects of children’s academic development across different stages of schooling. You will also be introduced to current issues and controversies in education and will reflect and discuss these with other students.

Finally, you will consider the implications of psychological research for designing and implementing practical strategies to support learning and socio-emotional development in an educational context.

30%: Coursework (Portfolio, Test)
70%: Examination (Computer-based examination)

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 22 hours of contact time and about 128 hours of independent study. The 5X社区视频 may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.

We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology.
