Research Methods and Skills Applied to Management (778N1)

Spring teaching

This module will develop your knowledge and skills to:

  • conduct a research project to complete your Masters degree
  • pursue a career in research
  • make managerial decisions based on research conducted by others.

You will learn how to scope a research project, review related literature, and clearly present a theoretical argument. You will also learn to collect and analyse qualitative and quantitative data, in an ethical manner. Moreover, you will learn to assess previous research, in terms of validity and rigour of research methods and analysis.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 35 hours of contact time and about 115 hours of independent study. The 5X社区视频 may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.

We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology.
