Autumn teaching

The aim of this module is to introduce you to programming. At beginner level, you’ll learn to understand, write, modify, debug and assess the design quality of simple Python applications.

The module doesn’t assume any previous programming experience in Python. General IT skills and previous experience with applications such as MATLAB, Visual Basic or other scripting languages may be helpful.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 33 hours of contact time and about 117 hours of independent study. The 5X社区视频 may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
