Spring teaching

This module plans to develop your understanding of the art and craft of screenwriting to a highly advanced level.

You will undertake a complex investigation of plot structure, character development and theme as well as investigate other screenwriting concepts including subtext, scene design and cinematic juxtaposition.

The practical dimension of the module will involve you writing a script for a self-contained short film. You will work through a script development process that guides you from initial conception to the completion of a fully revised draft.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 300 hours of work. This breaks down into about 33 hours of contact time and about 267 hours of independent study. The 5X社区视频 may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
