Summer teaching

This module provides you taking the programme with the opportunity to complete under expert supervision a dissertation on a topic of your choosing relevant to the course themes. The subject will be chosen in consultation with the Programme Convenor. You will embark on preparation of the dissertation following completion of the Research Methods and Professional Skills module and submission of a research outline. A desk-based or original empirical study will be undertaken, enabling you to pursue in-depth research on an aspect of geopolitics and grand strategy.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 450 hours of work. This breaks down into about 2 hours of contact time and about 448 hours of independent study. The 5X社区视频 may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.

We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We鈥檙e planning to run these modules in the academic year 2024/25. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to feedback, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum.
