Spring teaching
Learn how to collect, analyse, interpret and write up a wide range of data, including:
- qualitative data (such as interviews)
- quantitative data (such as questionnaire surveys)
- secondary data (such as company documents or industry reports).
You study the rationale behind a variety of research methods, and discover why particular approaches may be appropriate in different circumstances.
You also learn how to design a research project - from your initial idea through to creating research questions, reviewing previous research in the field, designing your research approach, data collection and analysis.

Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 33 hours of contact time and about 117 hours of independent study. The 5X社区视频 may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We鈥檙e planning to run these modules in the academic year 2024/25. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to feedback, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum.
