Leadership Engagement and Motivation (101N1)
15 credits, Level 7 (Masters)
Autumn teaching
What affects people’s behavior in the workplace has been subject of debate and investigation both for practitioners and for organizational scholars for the past 100 years. This module will blend the tradition of social psychology with current issues in the work place to give you an opportunity to develop a critical perspective on how psychological theories can be applied to organizations, and to management. How people lead or follow, how they are motivated, the effect of perceived justice, are only some of the topics touched. The module aims at providing a strong practical approach to social psychology by also examining client facing activities, evaluative strategies, practical problem solving, and the consultancy cycle.
