Autumn teaching
In this module, you'll look at the key issues in people management and development.
You'll examine contemporary research on employment and effective approaches to human resource (HR) and learning development (L&D) practice.
You'll focus on the links between people management practices and positive organisational outcomes and research that highlights major changes and developments in practice.
You'll also look at the debates surrounding theory and practice in specific fields including:
- leadership
- flexibility
- change management.
You'll develop the skills to become an effective manager, and HR specialist - learning to manage people fairly and increase levels of engagement, commitment, motivation and performance.

Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 33 hours of contact time and about 117 hours of independent study. The 5X社区视频 may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
