Autumn teaching

On this module, you will critically engage with the literature and emerging evidence on contemporary topics related to migration, poverty and development including:

  • climate migration and refugees
  • impacts of the Covid19 pandemic on migrants
  • intersectional understandings of gender, race and ethnicity in migration processes
  • human smuggling and trafficking
  • transit migration
  • irregular and undocumented migration
  • migration and development.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 300 hours of work. This breaks down into about 33 hours of contact time and about 267 hours of independent study. The 5X社区视频 may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
