Digital Suite

Silverstone building room 209A. The Digital Suite is a dedicated facility for Animation, Illustration, Graphic Design and Reproduction.It is located on the second floor of the Silverstone building and has two workstations bookable via Siso.

Copy Stand Workstation: Includes a copy stand connected to a 27” Apple iMac. Alongside the usual suite of software, this workstation comes with Toon Boom and Dragonframe.

Copy stands, also known as a repro stand, is a device used to fascilitate the photography of flat objects like artwork, books or manuscripts.They are mainly used in archiving, artwork reproduction and animation. The typical photographic copy stand is comprised of a base board and a vertical column onto which a camera can be mounted. Please book a camera from Siso.

Suggested equipment for Art History students: Nikon D7500 DSLR Camera Kit

Wacom Workstation: Includes a Wacom Cintiq 27QHD Tablet and a Canon scanner connected to 27” Apple iMac. Alongside the usual suite of software, this workstation comes with Toon Boom. The pen and control panel are bookable as a kit via Siso. You will need to book this item in order to use the Wacom Cintiq.

The Cintiq 27QHD offers true-to-life color on a high-resolution display giving you clarity and color sensitivity in creative areas like image editing, 2D/3D animation, Game Development, Print and Pre-Press Proofing, and Graphic Design. A widescreen 16:9 display with four times the pixel density of standard HDTV gives you the resolution (2560 x 1440) to handle the finest detail.
