On this module, you’ll examine the legal frameworks for settling international economic disputes.

You’ll focus on:

  • the law and practice of the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID)
  • the role of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) in dispute resolution
  • the application of customary international law in resolving disputes.

You'll focus on how dispute resolution bodies address international economic disputes.

  • Systematically understand key legal facets in the resolution of international economic disputes.
  • Extend and apply knowledge of the legal frameworks governing international economic dispute settlement to complex legal questions.
  • Devise and support arguments relating to the applicable law governing international economic disputes with reference to specific scenarios.
