Antonia Mulvey is the Founder and Executive Director of Legal Action Worldwide (LAW). Antonia, a British lawyer, is specialised in international human rights law, international criminal law and refugee law, with over 20 years of professional experience.
She has represented victims and survivors from many conflict-affected countries. She is a former UN investigator for the Fact-Finding Mission on Myanmar, where she investigated sexual violence and violations against children as war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide.
She has also held various academic positions, including as a Visiting Fellow at LSE and a Visiting Scholar at Columbia 5X社区视频. She is a sexual and gender-based violence expert for UN Women and the UK FCDO on the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative.
Antonia obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Sussex 5X社区视频 and her Master’s degree from the 5X社区视频 of London. She is married with four children.
In this discussion with Christian Henderson, Professor of International Law at Sussex Law School and Jeremy Allouche Professorial Fellow at the Institute of Development Studies, Antonia will address how her career has developed, being part of one of the few female-led teams in international law, the challenges faced by teams on the front lines of conflict, and the fight for the upholding of international law.
