Course learning outcomes
Systematically understand data structures and develop technical proficiency in data analytics tools to manage, cleanse, abstract, transform, aggregate, and visualize data across network infrastructures with practical applications in real-time data processing and decision-making environments.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of maintaining data quality and integrity, along with a deep knowledge and implementation of data cybersecurity principles and protocols to safeguard sensitive information, through real-world scenarios and compliance practices.
Competently apply various data analytics tools and technologies, data visualization software, software development procedures, and algorithms in various business contexts to perform standard and custom analytical studies, using case study to build practical, hands-on experience.
Develop, deploy, and manage digital solutions using AI and machine learning to address specific business needs, incorporating tools and frameworks widely used in industry to solve real-world problems.
Demonstrate practical problem-solving skills by analysing complex business environments and applying project management principles to real case studies, identifying strategic and operational improvement opportunities.
Evaluate data-driven solutions by applying business and financial analysis skills to assess commercial viability, security considerations, and risks, enabling informed decision-making in a digital business environment.
Comprehensively understand and critically evaluate the societal and environmental impacts of technological solutions, implementing legal, ethical, and sustainable practices within real-world business projects.
Lead data-driven projects and communicate findings effectively to various stakeholders; support teams and colleagues with analytics and reports, making recommendations to improve business performance and drive business improvement through digital and technological solutions.
