MSc Individual Project
Module 954G5
Module details for 2023/24.
60 credits
FHEQ Level 7 (Masters)
Module Outline
The Individual Project provides students the opportunity to study in depth an area they have already explored through an earlier module, or to pursue an individual line of study that interests them that is appropriate for their degree course. Students build a substantial system under the supervision of experienced faculty. This will be on a relevant research topic of the student's choice, and normally could involve a substantial working computer program or a theoretical study, together with a dissertation showing a full understanding of the issues involved and a critical awareness of knowledge at the forefront of the area covered by the project. The project is designed to encourage creative thinking and to expose students to issues of project management, documentation and communication. Students will be expected to exercise initiative and personal responsibility while working at the project.
