This course is set at Level 6 in the national Framework for Higher Education Qualifications.
Course Aims
This degree pathway aims to provide an alternative entry route into the Engineering Honours degrees for students who do not have the standard requirements for year 1 entry. The courses undertaken in year 0 of the programme provide an introduction to engineering, as well as the necessary background knowledge in science and mathematics for progression to the engineering degree of choice.
Course learning outcomes
Be able to make accurate measurements, keep records of observations, analyze and interpret data.
Be able to write clear, structured, laboratory reports,
Be aware of the importance of accuracy in measurement,
Be able to solve problems relevant to physics and engineering at the appropriate level which require use of the knowledge acquired.
