Autonomous Vehicles
Module H7122
Module details for 2021/22.
15 credits
FHEQ Level 6
Module Outline
This module introduces the concepts of autonomous vehicles focusing on control systems engineering issues related to decision making in autonomous operation. The module covers several topics including navigation, communication, path planning, obstacle avoidance, simultaneous localisation and mapping (SLAM), modelling and simulation of autonomous systems. Case studies demonstrating real world applications of the techniques used in the development and deployment of autonomous systems are also included in this module.
