This module explores various aspects of the strategic planning process, including environmental scanning, strategy formulation & implementation, and strategy evaluation & control. Through case study analysis, it explores how leading firms use strategy to gain competitive advantage, and how they relate strategy with technological and engineering projects and operations

Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the strategic context of engineering projects and operations
Demonstrate a systematic understanding of the strategic planning process, with a special focus on the environment in which a company operates, and how decisions are made.
Understand and evaluate critically the various analyses that can be used when assessing how competitive a business is
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the importance of innovation in all aspects of the company's operations
