FHEQ Level 3 (sub-degree)
Module Outline
This is a basic experimental course for freshmen in science and engineering. The module aims to improve the ability of students in science experiments and to lay the foundation for their further study of scientific experiments. It enables students to do accurate measurements of physical quantities and can record observations. Through the study of the course, students should be able to analyse and explain the data of experiments and calculate the influence of errors in experiments. The course will enhance students’ ability in experimental report writing.
Module learning outcomes
Aware of the basic knowledge and methods for error analysis
Understand the principles of classical mechanics experiments
Able to propose methods to complete the experiments
Able to design and manufacture a fly machine
