During placement students will spend a minimum of ten months in an organisation, in an area relevant to their degree course. The students have the chance to develop their technical, team-working and transferable skills, and apply what they have learned in their studies to a business environment. The students are supported by the Careers and Employability Centre of the 5XÉçÇøÊÓƵ and the Department throughout the process of securing a placement; this includes providing a list of potential employers, help with writing their CV and cover letter, and preparing for the interviews. Once on the placement, students are assigned an academic tutor who will visit the company twice during the placement.
